In order to resume training...

In order to resume training, in line with government advice, we have put in place the following measures to reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19 while training at our academy:

DO NOT ATTEND CLASSES IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID19 SYMPTOMS

INCREASED VIGILANCE OF SYMPTOMS

Students are asked not to train if they have any COVID-19 symptoms.

PRE-BOOKED ATTENDANCE ONLY

This gives us more space to train safely - 8 Students + 1 instructor per class and helps us know who to contact if there is an outbreak. Our classes are effectively, social bubbles.

SHORTER CLASSES

45 mins sessions with fewer students. Students should come warmed up ready for a stretch and ready to train.

INCREASED CLEANING

Between classes and between stations within classes.

CLEAN CLOTHING, GLOVES AND WRAPS

Everyone should turn up clean, with sanitised equipment.

NO SHARED PERSONAL EQUIPMENT 

There will be no shared cups available, so everyone should bring their own drinking vessel, warps and gloves.

BRING 2 x CLEAN TOWELS

One for yourself and the other for wiping down equipment after you have used it, using the spray provided.

NO KIT BAGS OR SPECTATORS IN THE GYM

Please get changed & wrapped before arrival. (Place shoes in rack near exit).

ONE WAY SYSTEM TO SUPPORT SOCIAL DISTANCING

Please go to furthest available station when you arrive so we can make best use of the space we have.

MAINTAIN 2 METRE SOCIAL DISTANCING

This will be tough but when you are training but the risk of transmission will be higher so please try to keep your distance.

NEW SANITISER EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE

Use the automatic hand sanitiser on entrance and wipe down your equipment after completing your station with the sanitiser available.

NO CROWDING AT THE END OF THE SESSION

No hanging around. Please leave immediately via shutters.

CLASSES

There will be three 45 minute classes, while we adapt to using the new COVID-19 control measures. As our experience increases and lockdown measures relax, we will change the class timetable so that we can have longer sessions with more contact.

THURSDAY

CLASS B  7:45PM - 8:30PM

SUNDAY

CLASS A  6:30PM - 7:15PM


Classes act as social bubbles so students cannot swap Classes.

BOOKINGS

Hopefully with the amount of classes that will be available on a weekly basis, hopefully we can fit everybody in! If not we will use the following criteria to achieve this.


  • FIRST PRIORITY - Will be given to students who have been attending classes via our online Zoom Portal during lockdown and are members of the Academy.
  • SECOND PRIORITY - Will be open to Members.
  • THIRD PRIORITY - Will be open to Non-Members.

IMPORTANT - Please bear with us during these times, we are adhering to Government and Insurance Guidelines. It's a strange new way of doing things, as things get back to normal - so will we as a Club. Eventually we will get back to normal - socialise, clinch and punch each other in the face, but not quite yet.
