Two New Kru’s!

‘Kru’ is Thai for teacher. In Thai culture, teachers are held in high esteem. They are celebrated on Wai Kru day where students perform a ritual to show respect to their teachers.

In the 12 years that Chao Phraya Lincoln has been open to the public, there have only been 4 students that have achieved the Kru grade. Paul (Staffy) and Darren have clocked up 15 years of experience between them and have shown Steve, Brian and I that they have the knowledge and ability to teach others.

I am very proud to lead the Chao Phraya Muay Thai academy and alongside Kru Steve, Brian, Paul (Staffy) and Darren we will provide an even better place to learn the amazing art of Muay Thai. We have built a very special and diverse community that forges warriors while making everyone feel welcome.

Chok dee (good luck) Staffy and Darren.
